Antique Wood Flooring
Every beam tells a story. Every plank is one of a kind.

Our floors are crafted from reclaimed centuries-old beams, salvaged from the demolition and restoration of rural and historic buildings scattered across the Umbrian and Tuscan countryside. These are seasoned timbers, individually selected for their beauty, stability, and character—marked by time and enhanced by oxidation, fissures, darkened grain patterns, and the natural hardening that only age can provide.

Working with this material is a meticulous and demanding process. Each beam is carefully cleaned and disinfested, stripped by hand of nails, pegs, and any metal elements to protect saw blades during cutting. Only then is it sawn into planks, further refined, and stabilized in a kiln. After this long preparation, each board emerges—unique, imperfect, and full of authentic beauty.

We create custom wide-plank flooring in a variety of formats, thicknesses, and finishes, using either solid or engineered wood. The boards can be supplied raw for on-site finishing, or prefinished with hand-applied surface treatments such as planing, saw-cut textures, shaded patinas, gently worn effects, or light antiquing.

Availability is limited and depends entirely on the recovery of suitable material: each batch is unique, unrepeatable, and once it’s gone, it’s gone.

Choosing antique wood flooring means choosing exclusivity, sustainability, and timeless value—giving new life to existing wood, without cutting down a single tree.
