Custom-built gazebo in iron and chestnut – Glazed structure with central barbecue and copper roof
This gazebo was entirely custom-designed and crafted, featuring a load-bearing iron frame and a pavilion roof finished on the inside with hand-planed solid chestnut boards, left exposed to highlight their natural texture. The roof structure includes marine-grade plywood, thermal insulation, waterproof underlayment, and an outer covering in natural copper.
At the center stands a self-supporting sheet metal hood housing a built-in barbecue. The hood is bordered by a decorative copper frame, detailed with a row of bronze flower-shaped forged nails. The smoke extraction system is completed by an exterior chimney clad in copper, equipped with a rotating draft inducer.
All four sides of the structure are enclosed with glazed walls, each composed of four panels: two fixed lateral panes and two central hinged doors that open outward and flip 180°, resting against the fixed panels. This allows for a wide opening on each side while maintaining the integrity of the perimeter frame.
The lower sections of the glazed panels are finished with insulated sandwich metal cladding, offering both thermal protection and visual consistency throughout the design.
A fully bespoke project, designed and handcrafted down to the last detail: from technical design to the artisanal fabrication of every iron and wood component, through to on-site installation.
Structures like this do not exist ready-made on the market — they can only emerge from fully custom work, built with our methods, our experience, and our know-how. We create truly personalized constructions, adapting structural techniques and aesthetic details to suit each client, home, or garden — with no limits beyond the structural requirements needed to ensure safety and long-lasting durability.
